On Wednesday ESPN aired a “1st and 10” segment that featured commentators Skip Bayless and Bomani Jones discussing the new Call of Duty: Black Ops commercial and Kobe Bryant’s appearance in it. My debate team argued while yes-violent video games can cause short-term reactions; there is no conclusive evidence that shows they cause long-term lasting effects. The majority of violent video games are rated M for mature, and cannot be bought unless you’re over 18 (a legal adult) or have your parents buy it for you.
